LINDA PINIZZOTTO – CEO and Founder – 1996


Linda has a wealth of hockey insight with over 24 years experience and was the first female General Manager in the Golden Horseshoe Junior B Div. of the Ontario Hockey Association
 of the Canadian Hockey Association .  She was the Convenor and Executive Member of many Sports Organizations in Ontario.  A very dedicated and sincere sports fan, Linda has experienced Hockey at the grass roots of development. All of her 3 sons are professional Hockey Players.
  

P3 SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT

 
P3 Sports Entertainment was established with the main focus towards providing a unique assortment of projects to enhance the development and exposure of Canada’s #1 Sport – Hockey. Linda thrives to provide exposure for players to achieve their dreams and advance into the OHL, QMJHL, NCAA and CIAU.

 

MAJOR SPECTATOR SPORTS ARENA AND FACILITY – MISSISSAUGA

In 1996 Linda created a consortium of high power corporate firms for the development of a $70 million dollar facility in the City of Mississauga, Ontario Canada.  The first of its kind with a win win situation for the City to involve a Public-Private Ownership.  The development would involve 70 acres of land, a major spectator arena with 3 additional community rinks, a sports complex, hotel, baseball and soccer fields and a major hotel chain.  The site included a stream of winter garden’s collonade, forest canopy with trails for jogging, vita par-cour, leisure walks “keukenhof” style and an entertainment terrace.  The future bridge would link to a public gardens and another ice complex directly across the street.  This site involved a fountain of pools for the summer transforming to community skating ice rinks in the winter.  Visual Axis to the site from major highways 403 and 410 were an added benefit.
 

REALTOR (R)

Linda is a veteran Realtor but ventured into this Arena submission as a “Main Applicant”.  She recognized her large sports/hockey knowledge, business connections and strong understanding to move forward and spearhead a “submission of interest” for this project.   Her diversification in all aspects of business having years of experience as a Real Estate Professional she undertook this challenge and convince Macklin Hancock of Project Planning to join forces and prepare a submission to be presented to the City of Mississauga.    Linda has substantial Corporate Clients including the vast majority of Financial Institutions when she represented 9 of the major banks in representation of over 115 of their Power of Sale Properties during the early 90′s.

 
 

P3 SPORTS “BLUE CHIP” SHOWCASE EVENT 

LISTED IN THE NHL MASTER SCHEDULE THREE (3) 1996, 1997, 1998

The P3 Sports Blue Chip event was created and organized as an excellent profile showcase for all 15 & 16 year old players across Ontario who are draft eligible for the Ontario Hockey League Priority Draft Selection. Our Mission is to provide exposure and opportunities to assist the development of young aspiring hockey players across Ontario and the US. In cooperation with Six (6) Leagues of the ONTARIO HOCKEY ASSOCIATION , the Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Jr C, Central Ontario Jr C, Niagara East & West Jr C, Western Jr C and the Junior Development League , our P3 Sports Blue Chip receives full support from over 50 teams across the province and is an OHA sanctioned event.
 It has provided Hundreds of Jr C , Jr D and affiliated Ontario Minor Hockey Association Bantam and Midget draft-eligible players an opportunity to showcase themselves to Ontario Hockey League Scouts in an All-Star Format during their regular season.   Linda sponsored the event with other major sponsors:  CCM, Pizza Pizza, Hershey Canada and Northern Promotions.  This was the First Double Sanctioned Hockey Event in Canada to incorporate OMHA and OHA player participation.
 

P3 STARS HOCKEY TEAM   

Our P3 Stars Team is compiled of players from across the Province.  They compete in the popular “Prospect Tournament”.  Our mission is to provide the best exposure for young draft-rated and NCAA potential players. The P3 Stars have had an 85% OHL draft success rate with 30% of these signing and playing Major Junior Hockey. The remaining players have chosen the NCAA route. This year again, I was involved with 2 NCAA Scholarship offers for players in our Ontario Hockey Association Tier II Junior system. I have also arranged for players to receive training  camp invitations to Affiliated OHL & QMJHL Teams.
      

P3 SPORTS SUBMITTED AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Build a Arena Complex Development

 The Consortium was speaheading by Linda Pinizzotto, CEO- Owner P3 Sports Entertainment.  Our $70 million dollar bid was to designed a Major Spectator Sports and Entertainment Facility.   It was designed to enhance the identity and international image  of the City of Mississauga, Ontario - Canada and would be a WIN-WIN situation with Public Shares being arrange Richard Devenney of Keyser Mason Ball.  Mr. Mike McGee, Chairman of the Board for LMI, Leisure Management International accepted the position of Management company for the Complex and Sports Venues to team up with the entertainment side with P3 Sports.
Scott Abbot, Founder of Trivial Pursuit agreed to ownership of the OHL Franchise in the event that Mississauga received approval from the OHL.  P3 Sports would join in with a part ownership.  Douglas Kilner, President of Orlando Corportion were negotiation with P3 Sports to build the $30,000,000 Arena complex at cost.

Leisure Management International began operations in 1986 and is one of the premier management companies in the industry.  A partnership of four well-known industry leaders, these joint owners represent a combination of industry experience, business acumen and financial resources that are unique in the industry.  Together these business leaders’ resources stretch in excess of $1 billion.  Chairman of the Board – Mike McGee, H. Wayne Huizenga – Chairman of the Board, CEO and Stockholder of Huizenga Holdings, Inc. (Blockbuster Entertainment), Douglas Schnitzer – CEO and founding partner partner of Senterra Development and Morton Cohn – Founder of Houston Warner Cable Franchise and Cash America.  LMI as an industry leader is the firm representing NHL Nashville Arena and several other major spectator arenas with well over 20,000 seating capacity throughout the United States.

 
The main stream of this proposal was a private/public partnership.  
This “Complex”  would have been a WIN-WIN  Public company with shares available for Mississauga Residents.
